Beachside Bistro is an oceanfront restaurant serving American Coastal Cuisine and located in Kill Devil Hills, NC. We offer dining indoors or outdoors on our oceanfront deck. Live music is offered seasonally.

The Front of the House Manager is responsible for overseeing the dining room and ensuring the Front of the House operations runs smoothly and customers have a pleasant dining experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintaining high production, productivity, quality and customer service standards.
  • Works closely with Back of House to deliver a high-quality menu, motivate staff to provide excellent customer service and exceptional service during high volume times.
  • Works closely with Banquet Captain to ensure proper ordering of alcohol and linens for events.
  • Routinely review product quality and research new vendors.
  • Ensure restaurant maintains compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
  • Uphold and manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
  • Appraise staff performance, provide feedback and accountability to improve productivity.
  • Resolve any issues, complaints and/or problems to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule wait staff and ensure proper coverage for all shifts. Must be able to fill shifts on demand.
  • Maintaining inventory for alcohol ordering and restaurant supplies.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven customer service experience as a manager with 2-5 years restaurant experience.
  • Serve Safe Certification, preferred.
  • Food & Beverage knowledge, including ability to remember menu items and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Hours vary but must be able to work all shifts, days, nights, weekends and holidays particularly during summer hours.

Pay Based on Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,832.00 - $45,520.00 per year
