Lead Software Engineer, Sustainability

Position Description:
As a Full Stack Developer /Lead Developer-Sustainability, you will be responsible for leading one or more engineering teams in development of Redwood's proprietary application suite. This includes full stack development and working with product teams and business units to evolve our revolutionary integration platform as a service built for logistics teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the team’s direction is in line with the enterprise vision.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with product manager and architects to develop solutions to complex problems
- Follows through and communicates design decisions to everyone on the team
- Carries out root cause analysis on defects to ensure fixes are happening in a timely and effective manner
- Identifies tactical risks and raises/resolves issues effectively
- Works closely with DevOps team in order to ensure that infrastructure, logging, monitoring, and operational support are addressed correctly
- Mentors team members
- Provides development expertise to team members through education and review
- Produces high quality code, fast
- Act as subject matter experts for company owned applications
- Participate in code reviewing/standardization processes
- Be vocal! Suggest ways the team can improve, as agile is a journey, not a destination!
Qualifications:
- A sharp mind, a great attitude, and willingness to have fun
- Excellent understanding of cloud-native, distributed system design
- Experience with data warehousing solutions – Postgres and/or Snowflake preferred
- Node.js/AWS/React
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience applying best practice software engineering designs
- 3+ years of experience with js frontend technologies such as Angular or React
- 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies, AWS preferred.
- 3+ years of experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
- 3+ years of experience working on agile teams
