Fast-paced and growing dental insurance company seeks a Software Engineer - Full Stack, preferably with Mobile App Development experience.


**Opportunity to work Fully Remote, preferably near one of our office locations. LIBERTY offices are located in Irvine, CA, Sacramento, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Oklahoma City, OK, Tampa, FL, Shrewsbury, NJ or Uniondale, NY.


This position will collaborate with other front-end and back-end web developers to support the design, development and improvement of our web and mobile web applications. This individual will be involved in the full development life cycle planning, code review, development, and operations/maintenance ensuring that all applications are optimized for various devices and accessibility needs while following all security and compliance regulations, guidelines, and governance.


Essential Duties:

  • Build and maintain consumer facing web site(s) and mobile app(s)
  • Responsible for the collaboration with internal and external customers to deliver project requirements and troubleshooting issues.
  • Continuous improvement tasks and user experience enhancements
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to review and clarify business requirements
  • Perform operational website application maintenance tasks
  • Ensure security and software development best practices are followed
  • Develop test plans, test scripts, perform automated/manual functional unit testing and validation
  • Create tools to optimize workflow
  • Keep up to date with recent technological and software developments
  • Be a technical ambassador with business stakeholders on "all things web"
  • Work cross-functionally with key-stakeholders, colleagues, and end-users

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree required in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in full stack development for web applications.
  • Minimum 3 years in designing digital customer experience.


Specific Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages
  • Must have conceptual understanding of domain technologies
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Strong understanding of end user usability and best practices
  • Familiar with change management
  • Strong front-end and back-end development experience, HTML 5, Responsive Design, JavaScript, CSS3
  • Experience with CMS
  • Experience with Web APIs (as consumer, understanding CORS, authentication methods)
  • Experience with optimization of content delivery (including CDN)
  • Proficiency with Objective-C or Swift
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • Experience with the Azure Xamarin development platform
  • Proficiency with Angular 2+ or React
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Proficiency with DevOps task
  • Understanding of Gulp, Grunt, or other JavaScript task runners
  • Understanding of SEO principles
  • Understanding of customer journey mapping and other UX techniques
  • Experience with the following technologies is considered a plus: ASP.NET, C#, Python, VB.Net, MVC, Postman, SQL database, dockers
  • Ability to fix bugs across the entire application stack; Unit/integration testing; Design and implement backend APIs; Build CI/CD pipeline
  • Strong architectural skills, able to define data architecture and integrate new data sources
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and solve complex problems
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Dedication to innovation and modern design and technologies
  • Experience implementing and using modern web development workflows and operations using open-source tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers/vendors
  • Mobile app development experience a plus
  • Responsive design, accessibility standards and guidelines (Section 508, WCAG, W3C, ARIA) a plus
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2019 experience a plus


COMPENSATION:

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $129,099 - $167,829 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
