Adelphoi has a Full time Therapist position available to work with kids and families in the community. A master’s degree is preferred; however the position does offer on-the-job training and qualified candidates can apply for the position while pursuing their degree.

***Starting salary of $42,000, negotiable, based on experience and educational background

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To coordinate and implement services with delinquent and dependent youth and their natural family within the context of a family setting; to promote a safe environment in which youth may grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

• Provide regular in-house visits with youth and families in order to implement and monitor treatment goals.
• Completes assessments and develops treatment plan goals for youth and families
• Develops appropriate treatment plans in order to foster emotional, intellectual, and social growth and development of youth
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, case consultations, training, and quality assurance steps
• Provides support and assistance to caregivers of delinquent and dependent youth
• Teaches and trains natural parents in parenting skills, budgeting, home maintenance, and employment skills
• Intervenes in crisis situations with appropriate counseling as necessary
• Documents required information and completes required reports in timely manner.
• Participates in court hearings and county meetings as required
• Travels daily to carry out the functions of the job

Education:

Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (or currently pursuing)
