We now have an opening in our warehouse, with the opportunity to grow into a furniture repair technician role within 18 months. Direct experience is not necessary, you will be trained by our technician who has over 35 years experience in the furniture repair industry. You might be a good fit for this job if you:

• Like carpentry and repairing things
• Enjoy working with your hands and using power tools
• Want to help people and provide great customer service
• Excited to learn a new trade

Our Family business has been in the Manchester Community for over 70 years. We offer a great wage, insurance benefits, and vacation time. A typical day for you would consist of the following tasks:

• Unload delivery trucks as they arrive
• Prep furniture for customer pick up or delivery
• Prep furniture to transfer from our warehouse to our other location
• General Cleaning and maintenance
• Assist with moving furniture on the sales floor as necessary

As you grow into the furniture repair role, you will be doing the following:

• Repair or rebuild damaged furniture mechanisms for frames
• Touch up or refinish damaged wood furniture using paint, varnish, etc.
• Patch or replace damaged leather or fabric furniture covers
• Use power tools as needed throughout the day
• Complete service paperwork as necessary
• Note: These tasks will either be completed on site or in the customer's residence.

There are only a few requirements for this position:

• Able to repeatedly lift over 75 pounds
• Clean driving record
• Effective Communication skills

If you are selected for this position you will go through an extensive 12 to 18 month training program
