Apogee is actively seeking a full-time Joint Exercise SME for the G-37 Task to join our USASMDC Team at Peterson SFB, CO. This position will provide A&AS support for two distinct aspects of the USASMDC G37 Training, Readiness and Exercise Division (G37 TREX) mission.
One portion will support the Exercise Branch, responsible for planning, synchronizing, executing and assessing space operations support to USSTRATCOM, USSPACECOM and other COCOM major exercises, experiments and war-games. The second portion will support the Certifications and Evaluations (C&E) Branch, responsible for assessing subordinate command’s certification process, validation of unit’s readiness and progress toward attaining command end-state conditions, achieving command objectives, and performing command tasks to support the command’s Standards and Evaluations Program.

What you'll be doing:
- Joint Exercises Support:
- The Joint Exercise Team will coordinate directly with USSTRATCOM, GCCs, ASCCs, Corps, Division, 1st Space Brigade, Satellite Operations Brigade and the 100th Ground-Based Mission Defense (GMD) to provide required space exercise support.
- Provide expertise in planning STRATCOM GLOBAL LIGHTNING and GLOBAL THUNDER, DEFENDER series, the 1st Space Brigade and 100th GMD major training events and additional Joint exercises using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process.
- Execute the exercises outlined above. This includes controlling the planned storylines and injecting the developed MSEL. The contractor shall use the JMSEL tool to inject the planned events.
- Use the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) tool to collect Lessons Learned/After Action Review (AAR) comments from events that occurred during the exercise.
- Certification and Evaluation Support:
- Support of the technical applications of Army space mission sets; WSOC, ARSST, GMD, and Space Control Planning (SCP).
- Provide joint-strategic-level planning for the purpose of supporting Army Space Training and Planning Support.
- Provide space training and conduct evaluations during USASMDC OREs.
- Perform planning, resourcing and conducting certification assessments for ARRST.
- Assist in the assessment of GMD and Missile Defense Battery (MDB) Sensor Manager and Radar Operator certification process located both at Schriever AFB, CO.
- Perform evaluations of operational management of SATCOM (related to wideband global SATCOM systems) at WSOCs.
- Assist in the SCP certification process.
- Perform command assessments focused on the command’s support to ACP, Campaign Support Plan and HQDA TAA, conduct Intermediate Military Objective (IMO) assessment, develop assessment framework for campaign plans, and assess command directed exercises.
What you'll need:
- Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Joint Exercises Support: At least 10 years relevant experience desired; Preferred Space support to operations, exercise planning.
- Certification and Evaluation Support: At least 10 years relevant experience desired; Preferred 5+ years GMD operator experience and familiarity with AN/TPY-2 radars operating in Forward-base
- Must possess strong analytical, technology, and organizational skills
- Must possess strong accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet communicated schedules and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- The pay range for this position is $83,500 to $125,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via Apogee's careers site.
- Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with a HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
