Job Description:
The Syracuse Crunch are looking for Game Night Social Media Assistant to help oversee and manage the team’s social media channels during each 2022-23 Crunch home game.
The candidate will work under the direction of the Vice President of Communications & Digital Media and should have a flexible schedule to be available for all home games.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the team’s Instagram story during games
- Aide in approving fan content shown on the scoreboard
- Help upload to the team’s Flickr account
- Assist in shooting additional game day content for the team’s various social media platforms
- Availability to work all home games
- Perform other duties as assigned in the areas of social media and marketing
Qualifications:
- Earned or pursuing a degree in public relations, sport management, marketing, communications or a related field
- Strong creative, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of social media platforms, experience in managing professional social media platforms preferred
- Understanding of the rules of ice hockey recommended, experience in sports preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends for all home games
Time:
- Approximately five hours during all Crunch home games (5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a 7 p.m. puck drop)
Compensation
- This is a paid position. The Candidate will be compensated a per game rate.
