Job Description:
Industrial Skilled Trades is looking for Welders for contract to hire opportunities for a steel company in Gary, IN. If you have a proven skillset and strong work ethic this is a great opportunity to join our community of skilled tradesman and advance your career.

Responsibilities

1. Applying or tightening bolts
2. Overhead welding 4G, Vertical Welding 3G, Horizontal 2G, Flat 1G
3. Complete single pass fillet welds in 2F positions.
4. Steel welding, stick weld, FCM welds and repairs by the spec.
5. Ability to us hand grinders, impact wrenches, hammers, level hoists, hydraulic jacks and welding guns for extended periods of time.

Job Scope:
Position located in Gary, IN. Pay range $18.00 - 20.00/hr. DOE and weld test. Schedule is 55 hours/week, M-Thu 6:00am – 4:30pm, Fri – 6:00am – 3:30pm and Sat – half day. PPE Requirements include: 100% cotton clothing with long sleeves, leather or canvas jacket or apron, leather gloves, steel toed boots with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, hard hat. Must be able to pass a background check along with a drug test prior to starting.
