- Verifies driver licenses and inspects all inbound containers for damage and tampering for C-TPAT compliance
- Collaborates with internal customers to direct inbound and outbound shipments to their proper destination
- Provides communication to drivers regarding traffic safety policies and procedures
- Examines Manifests and Bills of Lading to ensure that proper documentation accompanies all shipments; inbound and outbound
- Maintains J-SOX compliance through departure scanning of manifest
- Ensures 100% accuracy of departure records to support revenue recognition requirements
- Maintains shipping records to comply with company records retention policy
- Generates and emails carrier reports that reduce NOA spend on demurrage charges
- Will carry two-way radio
- Frequent to constant standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time
- Office work, with automobile and trailer traffic in close proximity
- Outside work in all environmental conditions: including heat, rain, wind, and snow
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Ability to interact with others
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate levels of stress
- Flexibility to work several different shifts
- Overtime and holiday work may be required
- Ability to perform work on PC, scanner, and handheld computer terminals
- May be asked to work several different shifts based on shipping/receiving trailer volumes
- Knowledge of security and public safety procedures and protocols
- One year of experience in working with shipping documentation
- Experience or the ability to train in the proper load/unload procedures in Receiving/Shipping areas.
- Ability to perform work on PC, knowledge of IBM iSeries and Oracle EBS systems, scanner, and handheld computer terminals
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- High school diploma or equivalent
This position includes a base pay range of $19.30 - $28.95 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
