Witco is looking for an experienced machinist capable of setting and running our gear machines consisting of:

REQUIRED abilities:

• 3 - 5 years independently performing set- ups and adjustments of gear machines
• Understanding of tooling applications to perform machine operations
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut
• Enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media
• Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material
• Change standard cutting tools and reset machine to proper size
• Adjust basic offsets to maintain part integrity
• Detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance conditions
• Blue Print Reading
• GD&T
• Standard gages and inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, dial bore, etc.

Experienced machinists will have their own standard inspection equipment. Witco offers a gage and tool purchase program to help our machinists grow their personal inspection foundation.
