General Labor – $17.40/hr

* Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus and a $500 referral bonus for existing employees.

Amalgamated Sugar Company- Nampa, Idaho

Amalgamated Sugar is seeking to fill multiple General Labor positions. These are year-round, full-time position offering an excellent benefits package** upon completion of a standard probationary period.

This position entails working in a heavy-duty industrial environment that encompasses all aspects of sugar production. Successful candidates will perform a variety of tasks within the sugar factory. No experience necessary – training is provided.

Essential Job Functions:

· Work rotating 12-hour shifts- 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. or 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.

· Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays.

· Be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

· Climb stairs and ladders.

· Work in temperature extremes both hot and cold, indoors, and outdoors.

· Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards and procedures.

· Be able to use common hand tools.

· Must be able to perform entry level tasks with basic hand tools.

· Perform general cleaning and sanitation operations.

· Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness standards.

· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, and move equipment as needed. Must be comfortable in year-round outdoor temperatures, in loud conditions, and working around moving mechanical equipment.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Must be 18 years of age.

· Experience working in an industrial setting preferred.

*New hires receive bonus in $400 increments for 12.5 pay periods, provided no scheduled days of work are missed.

$500 referral bonus is paid to current employees after the referred employee has been hired and completed 60 days of employment.
