Job description

The Rail Unloader is responsible for the safe and quality handling of customer and company vehicles and equipment. This position works outside in all types of weather, unloading vehicles from rail-cars to the bay locations. There is no preference for prior experience working outdoors, performing manual labor or in a manufacturing environment. We will be providing on site training for the position you're being hired for. We also do miscellaneous tasks throughout the yard to ensure the yard is prepared to operate safely daily.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be able to operate automatic vehicles. Knowing how to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus but not mandatory.

• Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions. We will monitor unsafe weather conditions and will address accordingly.

• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed including weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. Scheduled specific days off will be given by seniority.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening. Company will pay for the drug screen.

• Must be willing to do a background check the company will pay for.

• Ability to work as a team, professionally, and follow instructions.

• Maintain Safe work habits daily. Follow all facility rules.

Physical Requirements

• MUST be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds over head. We will only lift bridge plates with co workers and hinge decks together safely.

• Frequent walking on pavement and through rails safely.

• Walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
