Job description
Oversee the entire operation a 20-person test lab site. Provide technical and administrative direction to lab staff, exercising a high level of judgment and discretion to plan and accomplish revenue goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Provide technical and administrative direction to the lab staff
  • Implement best practices for continuous process improvement
  • Leads organization to meet or exceed budgeted profit objectives
  • Collaborate with Sales management to foster year-to-year revenue growth
  • Manage staffing levels and ensure proper skill sets to achieve corporate goals; has approval authority on all new hires, reviews, increase and terminations
  • Implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Perform other duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and able to pass a drug test and DMV and background check
  • Technical or Management degree. We may consider 10 years of operations or general management in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of progressively responsible business operations management and leadership experience in a manufacturing, engineering or other technical services environment (including P&L experience)
  • 5+ Years technical experience ideally in a test laboratory business related to fluids, cryogenics, mechanical and or hydraulics
  • Exceptional supervisory skills including experience with larger group environments
  • Knowledge of multiple industries (i.e., Aerospace, Defense, Space, etc.)
  • Excellent communicator with strong people skills
  • Skilled at developing high performing cohesive teams
  • Skilled with leading and implementing organizational changes and development
  • Experience and skilled at developing and implementing efficient and effective operational processes



WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
