Position Summary*
RIA is looking to add a general radiologist for onsite coverage of Gunnison Valley Health, a 24 bed critical access hospital. The radiologist will be involved in the supervision and interpretation of general radiology exams, perform on site diagnostic mammography and breast biopsies, and cover fluoroscopy and minor CT/US guided procedures. Advanced subspecialty exams are routinely interpreted by our radiologists in Denver. Radiologists with fellowship training will additionally have the ability to read imaging studies in their subspecialty that are performed at Gunnison Valley Health as well as elsewhere in our system.
Gunnison Valley Health provides a broad range of services at its hospital including primary care, urgent and emergency care, oncology services, cardiology, orthopedics, women’s health. Through our additional hospital and outpatient imaging center affiliations RIA supports seven level 1 or 2 trauma centers, a large oncology network, a liver/kidney transplant center, as well as active neurology/neurosurgery, women’s health, orthopedics, cardiac, thoracic, colorectal, urology, hepatobiliary, and gastroenterology programs.

Job requirements*
Strong general radiology skills including CT, US, and plain films.
MQSA certification and the ability to read screening and diagnostic breast imaging and perform US/stereotactic breast biopsies
Experience in non-vascular image guided procedures
Additional subspecialty fellowship training is welcomed
