Job Description

This is a mid-level position with Hazen and Sawyer. This position will be part of a Technology team that collaborates with internal discipline groups to develop consistent and efficient standards and workflows. The team focuses on Design and Data-driven software and systems and implements, maintains, supports, administers, and provides training for those systems and software. The team also plays a key role in the development, evaluation, and implementation of new technology and workflows.

This position will be working with and supporting GIS software and systems. These include but are not limited to ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online (AGO), and ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal). This position will be responsible for supporting ongoing projects in both a production and support capacity. This position will also be working with the GIS Discipline Group to maintain and support Hazen’s software, standards, and workflows. This position will be working with other service groups (BI, Data Analytics, Water and Sewer Modeling, etc.) to provide a similar list of support as they integrate with GIS software and deliverables.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and have knowledge of ArcGIS Pro for the purposes of creating and publishing maps. Experience with online GIS and mobile apps preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to continuously learn and support new GIS technology and project innovation. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are also required.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide company-wide project support (setup, training, etc.)
• Work on a variety of GIS projects throughout the company
• Support staff using Desktop, Web, and Mobile GIS products
• Resolve helpdesk tickets for ESRI and related enterprise software & systems
• Work with GIS Discipline Group to develop standards and workflows.
• Assist in administering and training of ArcGIS Online and Portal
• Work with senior-level GIS Administrators to gain Advanced GIS skills
• Work with Hazen IT to evaluate new software, service packs, and patches.
• Assist with R&D/Evaluation of new software and services
• Assist with onboarding new employees regarding standards and procedures

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of GIS experience primarily using ArcMap or ArcCatalog is required
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Mobile Apps is preferred
• Python and Model Builder experience is also preferred but not required
