We are looking for multi-skilled candidates with a qualitative background for the position of GIS Analyst. This position will report to the OSP Engineering Manager, and work under the direction of the Chief Business Development Officer. Expect to be instrumental in assisting i3 Broadband’s growth & development planning. This person will be responsible for the information gathering, analysis, and presentation for discovering industry patterns and trends through spatial mapping, developing mapping applications and tools, and managing a digital library of geographic maps and data in various file types, among other GIS-related duties.

The GIS Analyst will need to explain geographic trends and findings from their analyses to internal and external clients, requiring excellent written and verbal communication.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyzing spatial and tabular data through the use of mapping software.
• Discovering patterns and trends through geospatial analysis and mapping of data.
• Designing digital and print maps with geographic data and other external data sources.
• Producing maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data,
• Creating mapping applications and tools with Esri Software.
• Publish and maintain ArcGIS Server services for use of the entire enterprise
• Digitizing physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
• Performing data mining and cleaning to convert data into its desired form.
• Produce written and graphical reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.
• Assisting with the maintenance of a digital library of geographic data in various file types.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Comprehensive understanding of online data access and organization.
• Ability to hear user needs and understand needed steps to move forward.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to create a story with data, and to drive business decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:

• Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, geography, surveying, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Experience or understanding of front-end design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various mapping and database languages.

· Experience with mapping tools such as ArcGIS ArcMap and Pro (Enterprise a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
