SunPlus Data Group is looking for a GIS Analyst to work for a State Government facility in Columbia, SC.
This is for 12 months to start and is likely to extend
Hours are generally M-F, 40 hrs/week
Pay is $ 34/hr W2 hourly (NO CTC)
**(THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE ONLY, MANDATORY WITH NO EXCEPTIONS) **
It usually takes the State Government about 1-3 weeks to start interviews, just so that you are aware of the timeframe. The first interview will usually be via phone or WebEx.
Job Summary:
The State of SC is seeking a GIS Analyst with documented experience. The GIS Analyst will migrate Oracle Spatial databased maintained through Geomedia to a SQL database maintained through ESRI Roads and Highways on-premise.
- Produce digital/hard copy maps in advanced GIS/Mapping applications
- Perform GIS data collection, maintenance and analysis
- Update database tables to reflect changes to the GIS features used in GIS analysis and in mapping as assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform quality control on the new and existing data to maintain correctness and spatial accuracy standards
- Assist in the development and maintenance of procedure manuals
- Completes software/procedures research/testing as assigned by the manager
- Performs related tasks as assigned by the manager.
