geocgi is looking for a GIS Analyst to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) department. The work will be performed remotely but may require infrequent travel to Washington DC. The position requires experience generating complex, digital, and web-based maps, creating and modifying template-based GIS web applications, and performing complex geospatial analyses. The candidate must be knowledgeable in the Esri software suite and GIS concepts, be familiar with relational database fundamentals and concepts, and have experience working with site suitability. They must also have experience performing data collection, processing, analysis, modeling, and exploitation. Some experience in the development of GIS applications is required. To perform the duties of the GIS Analyst successfully, the candidate must be:

The following are desired capabilities and experience of the potential candidate:
- US Citizen.
- Prior or active Department of Homeland Security clearance and/or suitability adjudication.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or IT related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS security clearance and suitability evaluation.
- Four (4) to six (6) years of Esri-based software and GIS industry experience.
- Three (3) years of experience creating web products with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Demonstrated knowledge of leveraging Web Components and associated technologies to create front-end products.
- Understanding of RESTful services and how to configure applications for communication appropriately.
- Experience working with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Server.
