Job Description
The Global Education Coordinator supports the overall operations of Global Education through administrative functions including: Exchange Visitor Program development and maintenance, short-and long-range planning activities and logistics, communication(s) across the University community, relationship cultivation & maintenance with international partners, contract(s) maintenance & support, program marketing & web presence, interpretation of policies/procedures/processes throughout the University and MinnState, including Federal policies & regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a International Education or a related field or Bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience in International Education or two years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of post secondary training, education and/ or professional experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-directed with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience with academic or program advising in higher education.
- Demonstrated experience with international programs and partnership maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience with intercultural and communications including oral and written.
- Demonstrated experience successfully working within complex organizations and knowledge their practices & procedures, demonstrated experience with I-20 and other visa processing.
- Experience with ISRS, TerraDotta, and uAchieve.
- Experience with international travel, including living/ studying abroad.
- Experience working within the MinnState System for one year or more.
Other Requirements
- Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Occasional weekend work assignments or flexibility within work schedule as deemed appropriate. May be needed to respond to emergency or risk management situations. Must be willing to adjust personal schedule to meet the demands of programs, activities, and office needs outside the normal workday.
- Based upon this position’s essential functions, it reports to Morris Hall 002/Minnesota State University campus, 5 days a week and does not have the option of telework. Telework is at the discretion of management and defined and implemented in accordance with HR/LR Policy #1422 (Telework Policy).
Physical Effort
- Lifting, carrying equipment and materials for set-up/take-down from events; possible occasional domestic travel, including overnight, to conferences or meetings. May include
international travel.
