The HT Global Program Manager is required to oversee complex product development and commercialization by coordinating with cross-functional teams from Global Regions (such as Canada, USA, China, Thailand, and Europe). The Global Program Manager coordinates with site customer focused teams to meet contractual commitments, and exceed our customers’ expectations in the design and development of products that improve yields, increase reliability, and deliver cost savings.


Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Partners with Global Resources, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Design Engineering, Key Account Managers, Site General Managers, Customer Focused Teams to develop plans for execution and delivery of commitments to Health Technology customers
  • Develops detailed project plans that include work breakdown structures, schedules, budget tracking and cost profiles to achieve project objectives
  • Tracks and directs activities related to Health Technology project plans
  • Coordinates action plans with the sites to correct out-of-plan conditions
  • Interfaces with the customer and the Global Celestica teams in managing specific Health Technology programs to achieve planned objectives
  • Responsible for the management process associated with tracking, directing, prioritizing, and delivering on Health Technology projects

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Broad knowledge of electro/mechanical medical device manufacturing environment, materials and processes
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 Medical Device Quality Management Systems and other medical device industry standards, regulations, and directives
  • Experience managing multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines
  • Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent presentation, database management and computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers
  • Fluency in financial costing is required
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the following:
    • Engineering design and development
    • Process development and implementation
    • Test, quality, and production in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment
    • Materials, Supply Chain, and components used in the manufacturing of electro-mechanical systems, printed circuit boards and subassemblies


Typical Experience:

  • 10 years or more relevant experience in development of medical devices
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-site/multi-country projects to a successful conclusion
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience building & leading diverse teams from various internal and external organizations

Typical Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Advanced studies in Program Management (such as PMI / PgMP certification) or equivalence through experience.
