Description of Duties:
Coaches are responsible for organizing and maintaining an Interscholastic team. Coaches are expected to create an atmosphere which will promote group and individual growth both in athletic skills and the concepts of teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Coaches should have a thorough knowledge of all NCSSM athletic policies and be responsible for their implementation for their team. Coaches work with the NCSSM athletics department to communicate expectations and information to student athletes on their teams. NCSSM-Morganton athletic coaches report to the Assistant Athletics Director for NCSSM-Morganton.
Coaches will be required to be CPR-certified and to complete NFHS coursework as required by the NCHSAA. Coaches will be required to drive school vehicles. CDL preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the sport of golf, techniques, and ability to plan and facilitate practical activities.
