If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer, reporting directly to Basil Theckumpurath to join our Genesis Energies team based in Houston, TX.

The Project Engineer is accountable for the successful execution of one or more packages coordinating all the disciplines involved such as engineering, sub-contracting, procurement, inspection, testing, transport, fabrication, and installation activities in accordance with the Project’s standards, goals, and targets.

Scope: The Project Engineer has complete technical responsibility for the Package/s during various phases of the project. He/she is the single point of contact with the Supplier for technical matters and manages the day-to-day operations of the execution of the package. This involves the management of the Package/s throughout the design, manufacturing, testing, inspection, and up-to-delivery readiness

Direct Manager Responsibility: None

Role Responsibility:

  • Project Engineer is responsible for obtaining Supplier’s Baseline Schedule and managing the schedule.
  • Project Engineer ensures that all disciplines associated with the package(s) have all the information and data to proceed with activities.
  • Responsible for initiating and resolving queries from other functions in a timely manner and communicating, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Reporting any HSE issues with the HSE coordinator. Schedule and/or lead safety walkthroughs at the Supplier’s site.
  • The Project Engineer will normally attend all major Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at the Supplier’s location.
  • Provide input and report the Cost of Non-Quality to the Project Manager and the Quality Manager.

About You

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical / Ocean Engineering / Naval Architecture / Material Science
  • Strong written and communication skills are essential.
