Duties and Responsibilities:

NDGI is an official grain inspection licensed by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) to provide services within a specified territory. This particular position is for our bag lot division of the company. A normal day could be driving to the Fargo, ND office to take a company vehicle, clock in and grab supplies. Then you would drive out to whichever locations requested service that day. These could be in multiple cities such as Mayville, ND, Buxton, ND, Casselton, ND, Park Rapids, MN, etc. You would arrive at the first location and sample the bags of grain on the warehouse floor. The bags of grain are generally 110 lbs, but can vary. Sampling occurs by sticking a trier into the bag to get a small sample. There can be around 40 or more "mini" samples taken at a location. Great attention to detail is needed when writing out the work record. When done with that location, then you would drive to the next to do the same thing. When done with all locations for that day, the samples and paperwork would be brought to the Fargo, ND office.

Requirements:

• Ability to bend/lift 50 pounds
• Be moving and on feet during entirety of shift
• Clean driving record
• No experience required
• Attention to detail to provide proper work records

Shifts/Work Hours:

• Normal shifts start around 7:00 am, but can vary depending on the day
• Schedule for the next day is generally determined the day prior around 2:00pm
• One day can be a shorter day, and the next could be longer depending on amount of services called for that day
• No overnight hours
• Part-Time positions are perfect for those that could have slower hours during the summers and then work more full-time type hours during harvest time. NDGI would call you the day before to see if you would be available to work.
