The Grants/Office Associate is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties. The position will assist and relieve the Administrator and Supervisor in routine and non-routine responsibilities of the daily grant operations and administrative aspects for the department.

This position performs a wide variety of office tasks requiring a thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and systems, providing expert administrative support to faculty members of the Department of Radiation Oncology. Assist in the planning, organizing and implementing of research associated activities for faculty and the department. Position is required to handle matters of a moderately complex nature to conserve supervisor’s time.

  • Ability to work irregular hours to meet deadlines and the needs of the PI’s.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple, complex administrative duties responsibilities independently.
  • Ability to work in demanding environment and to deal with complex matters, often involving a high sense of urgency requiring immediate action.
  • Ability to work autonomously and possess a high level of critical thinking and independent judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain harmonious relationships with both internal and external customers and adheres to UNMC and NM Customer Service values.
  • Must maintain an open-minded, motivated, and positive outlook to provide the Institution with the best skills I can possibly provide.
  • Self-disciplined; maintain established relationships with current partners, customers, and UNMC staff/faculty, etc.
