Job Title: Graphic Designer
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Art Director
Status: Exempt— Full Time
Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for collaborating to produce consistent work across the NJPAC brand and NJPAC’s various departments. Work would include, but not limited to, designing and producing program books, brochures, journals, digital ad campaign and social media assets. The job requires an ability to work across a range of media to create designs that effectively communicate the needs of the organization. The Graphic Designer will also with very close with the Creative Services team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design marketing and collateral materials to promote events.
- Execute designs in digital, and print and prepare for final output and production.
- Produce work that demonstrates a high level of creativity, skill and attention to detail.
- Work closely with the Art Director and Senior Designer.
- Ensure all print and digital assets meet media requirements.
- Assist in implementing, maintaining and organizing materials on server and digital asset management system.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Qualifications and Special Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts preferred
- 2-3 years experience required.
- Strong typography and design skills
- Knowledge of how brand design works.
- Advance knowledge of MAC platforms, including the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Adobe Premier and After Affects is a plus but not essential
- Knowledge of HTML, Email design, Plus a working knowledge of print procedures and production.
- Ability to work well independently, as well as within a team.
- Ability to complete time-sensitive projects in a fast pace environment.
