What will you do as a Greeter?*
The greeter at a site is to welcome each patient into the facility, direct them where to go, provide general patient information, and help make each patient feel like they are being treated like Christ walking through the door, thus creating an atmosphere that is caring, yet efficient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Greet all patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner fitting for Christ.
• Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services as needed.
• Perform registration duties to designate a patient as having arrived, and supplying new patients with necessary paperwork for medical, dental, and other services.
• Monitor and update work-lists to ensure patients are not subjected to unnecessary delays.
• Communicate any delays or changes to patients as circumstances change.
• Thoroughly, accurately, and promptly document patient comments, incidents, and work completed in appropriate electronic systems.
• Direct patients to services or to be seated, as they await the registration process or to be called for clinical services.
• Provide general information and assistance to patients to allow registration clerks to perform their assigned duties.
• Regularly check mail, e-mail and voicemail and respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries.
• Attend to shared responsibilities in each work area, including answering phones, cleaning, stocking, and organizing common work areas, and assisting with orientation and training of other employees as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the waiting room.
• Keeps the front driveway clear and unobstructed for patient and visitor drop-off and pick-up.
• Work a reasonable schedule, which may include an assignment at any location and during any of the hours that CCHS provides services.
• Interpret for limited English proficiency patient/clients in the absence of an interpreter, if bilingual.
• Perform other tasks required in support of the assigned care team, but which are not detailed within this job description

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS*
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Healthcare experience preferred
Skills/abilities: Presents professionally, excellent verbal communication, pleasant and active ability to help others. Bilingual preferred
