$15-$25 per hour

Position Summary: Children’s Aid-Goodhue Center, a community center located in Staten Island, seeks part-time Group Leaders for our After-School Program. Goodhue Center provides recreational and educational activities in the afternoon to children ages 5-10 years old. Goodhue Center is a warm and nurturing place for children after school to continue to learn, play and socialize with friends.
Salary: Range is $15 to $25 an hour depending on experience.
Location: Goodhue Community Center - 304 Prospect Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10301
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a group of children ages 5-10 years old
- Actively lead various recreational activities that include sports, art, science, social and emotional and games
- Oversee homework
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Work with children having difficulties in program
- Work in a team environment
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a college degree or graduated college
- Demonstration of planning skills and program skills
- Understand developmental needs of children ranging in age from 5 to 10
- Ability to carry out art, sports, and various educational and representational programs
- Able to work 3 to 5 days from 2:30PM to 6:00PM
- Be a team player
- Have a love for working with children!
