Position Summary
Insurance Technologies is looking for experienced Group Product Manager, whose primary responsibility will be to lead a team of Product Owners, develop and drive product strategies delivering revenue growth for our Sales Automation and Illustrations offerings. This person will own the revenue associated with our FireLight platform. FireLight is a cohesive suite of interconnected sales components and capabilities across the entire sales lifecycle for carriers and distributors. Insurance Carriers use our platform to orchestrate compliant illustrations and create holistic low-friction insurance sales experiences. This position will be primarily responsible for leading the teams who define the product roadmap enhancements comprising the Insurance Technologies platform. The candidate will develop a deep understanding of carrier and distributor user profiles by conducting customer discovery that will then drive the long-term product solutions driving sustained revenue growth. Candidates should have strong product management as well as one or more InsureTech, FinTech, SaaS/PaaS experience. Insurance Technologies is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO and supports a remote and global workforce. This position reports to the VP of Product Management.

Responsibilities Include: ·

  • Articulate the product roadmap to link-deep understanding of target user needs, driving integrated, user-focused functions across our integrated platform in ways that helps customers better run their business and drives Insurance Technologies sustained revenue growth. ·
  • Develop a deep understanding of Insurance Carrier user profiles by conducting ongoing customer discovery, clearly defining problem and opportunity statements, and developing user-centric solutions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across Product Development, Professional Services, Sales and Marketing while driving the roadmap to ensure roadmap items are commercially compelling.
  • Further SaaS platform through low-/no-code and features reducing platform friction.
  • Represent our user profiles by prioritizing platform backlogs to deliver best-in-industry illustration and quoting experiences.
  • Keep the end user's experience at the heart of decision making. · Evangelize the Insurance Technologies solutions, engage in thought leadership, and excite stakeholders about the platform.
  • Institute a culture of customer discovery and continuous improvement. ·
  • Is a visible thought leader to the marketplace. ·
  • Inculcates an innovation culture that manifests itself in the platform roadmap.
  • Define competitive positioning and work with the business team to set pricing.
  • Predict trends and create roadmap themes that result in competitive advantage.
  • Lead the product team to develop and groom themes, epics, and features to deliver compelling capabilities on-time, -budget, and -scope.
  • Analyze existing products’ function and determine new features and requirements to enhance customers’ user experience and ensure maximum adoption.
  • Drive product management framework(s) into the culture to guide what and how work is performed.
  • Drive practices delivering measured results (velocity, quality, value, etc.) and improvements.
  • Pragmatize market sizing, positioning, and testing to drive data-based product decisions.
  • Leverage’s enterprise-wide relationships to drive outcomes with broad participation and buy-in. Works with team to balance portfolio investments to support company strategy. ·
  • Drive platform and feature enablement and adoption programs. · Responsible for high-quality work products that drive business outcomes.

Role Requirements: ·

  • Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in software area, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading products that are B2B and configurable SaaS. Experience with platforms serving multi-sided marketplaces is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated results with planning, defining, and launching successful digital products and product portfolios.
  • Demonstrated InsureTech/FinTech services industry knowledge. Insurance systems successes are a plus!
  • Talent for forming relationships, gaining confidence, and working collaboratively.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of how to interpret business and technical needs and translate them into themes, epics, and user stories.
  • Demonstrated skill with metrics and data analysis to develop, supervise and make data-driven decisions based on value delivered against strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter, both written and verbal.
  • Excited and curious about complex problems, systems, and interactions.
  • Effectively balances the competing demands of innovation, quality, architectural/operational improvements, and customer feedback.

Expected hours of Work:

This is a full-time, exempt position with regular office hours Monday through Friday.
Travel Expectations:
This position requires domestic US and international travel as needed for a global organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
