GET SAFE’s Group Trainer plays an essential role in providing training services to participants with developmental disabilities who are registered with the California State Regional Center system. While our corporate office is in Tustin, CA, this position will require travel within the northern service areas of Tri-Counties Regional Center (San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, with the possibility of Ventura county). The Group Trainer will provide ongoing trainings in the areas of Healthy Relationships & Safe Sexuality Training (HRSST) and Personal Safety 101(PS101) to provide participants with increased self-advocacy, education, and support in these areas. Duties include assessment, training, and advocating for the client’s best interests. The Group Trainer may also provide training through virtual (Zoom/Teams) interactions. Accordingly, the following are Group Trainer programs‐specific responsibilities:

• Conduct group trainings for designated audiences, utilizing existing resources and supplemental materials
• Implement training concepts applicable to the group, adapted trainings to participants’ individual learning style
• Assess and track progress towards training goals through detailed notetaking
• Identify and escalate risks to supervisors, as needed
• Adhere to legal and ethical standards of mandated reporting.
• Generate and submit clear and concise training reports and meeting notes, using proper written and grammatical English language skills
• When necessary, implement sign-in sheets, ensure participants are actively signing in, and submit groups’ signed attendance sheets to designated GET SAFE supervisor
• Submit accurate activity tracking and billing logs weekly via online platforms
• Participate in weekly status update reviews with Program Supervisor

Pay range is dependent on the duration of each course.
