We are seeking a new team member for our “Guest Support Position” in Lake Hopatcong. Your role will support our friendly roster of guests and boaters’ looking for a safe and enjoyable time on the water. In your role you will also work very closely with teammates in our Sales, Service, and Operations department; helping them deliver services and support guests. This role requires an outgoing and friendly personality, very good conversational skills, and exceptional listening skills. The Guest Support team must be customer centric with interest and ability to help guests and teammates. You will greet and help guests, support departmental and marina efforts, and oversee other organization projects. At Bridge Marina you will get to enjoy the outdoors, working with boats on the water, helping friendly guests and prospects who are generally happy to see you. The efforts and excitement changes with the seasons keeping work interesting and energizing. You will receive significant support, as well as training in our processes, marina systems, boat handling skills, customer service and more. Working in a marina, particularly at Bridge Marina, is unlike other roles you have had. Some responsibilities are:
  • Greeting guests, either in person when visiting the marina, or via email, phone, or text.
  • Communicating with guests and teammates to figure out their needs, and then acting to support them or referring them to other departments.
  • Coordinate scheduling of various guest services using easy to use web-based schedulers, or via email, phone, or text.
  • Helping with minor sales, marketing, customer service strategies, projects, and tasks.
  • Supporting Managers of Service, Operations, Sales and the General Manager.
  • Office and reception area care and support, such as materials management, organization, paperwork administration.

  • Advanced guest development
  • Overseeing more advance administrative projects
  • Management of day to day in offices and store
  • Overseeing minor digital marketing projects and initiatives
  • Maintaining basic bookkeeping and client accounts
  • Management of other team members

  • Ability, skill and interest to use phone, text, email and web on regular basis (QuickBooks, Office 365, and Cytracom an advantage; we can also provide training).
Requirements
  • 2-year customer service experience
  • 2-year administration experience
  • 1 year experience with Office 365, QuickBooks, multi-line phone systems, or equivalent.
  • Valid and clean automobile driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen.

The role is based in an office/retail environment; however, you may find yourself occasionally elsewhere in the marina, on boats and docks, and on the water. This position is a full-time year-round position with opportunity for advancement and growth. We provide health care benefits, retirement plan with company contribution, paid vacation, paid sick time, team events, and opportunity for additional rewards and perks such as boating access, winter holiday breaks, and more. Scheduling is 5-days a week Tues-Saturday with occasional weekend or evening hours. Compensation is commensurate with experience. The hourly wage for this role is $16-$20 per hour, or equivalent annual compensation of $35,000-$45,000 per year plus incentives.
P.S. Experience on and around boats is terrific and will allow you greater advancement, although, boating experience is not required as we have trained many teammates new to boating who are now essential parts of our team.
