AS A HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Collaborate with Marketing to understand the needs of our customers
• Develop hardware products through all phases of the new product introduction process
• Work closely with the embedded software developers to verify functionality in the system
• Keep up with technology trends in design, manufacturing, and electronic components for application in new products
• Ensure designs meet the product functionality and certification requirements
• Collaborate with global supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure that the product is cost effective and designed for manufacturability
• Support hardware products throughout the lifecycle
• Effectively communicate project status to management

WHO YOU ARE:

You experiment with a wide range of existing technologies while applying new and emerging options that can enhance organizational outcomes. You remain energized and effective when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty. You facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders. You model and encourage the expression of diverse ideas and opinions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Experience in analog and digital circuit design
• Proficiency using CAD development tools for schematic design and simulation
• Familiarity using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering degree and 4 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or similar technical master’s degree and 3 year of related experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Experience with firmware development for board bring-up
• Experience with A/D, D/A converters, thermocouple interfaces, and ethernet protocols
• Knowledge of FPGA design
• Experience with design and testing for EMC compliance
• Experience with certification requirements for 61010-1, 60079-0, 60079-7, or 60079-11
• Experience performing failure mode effect analysis
• Familiarity with DeltaV and/or other process control systems
• Experience in common Electronics manufacturing processes
