This individual's principal objective is to contribute to hardware engineering projects as directed. Tasks may include Remote Sensing Device service and support; support of PN meter production, manufacturing, service and support; writing test procedures/scripts, participating in hardware design, participating in business development efforts; perform unit and integration testing. This individual will be willing to work in a team environment and participate in group planning and review sessions.
Requirements:Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform and maintain circuit board designs, schematics, layouts, and BOMs in Altium Designer
- Maintain and debug existing embedded firmware in C language
- Perform circuit board checkout and repair
- Perform assembly checkout and repair
- Lead and support product improvements
- Provide operational support and service for Remove Sensing Devices and Inspection/Maintenance programs
- Provide Remote Sensing field operations training and phone support for field services
- Assist hardware production startup (test rigs, troubleshooting 1st run of boards and assemblies, etc.)
- Assist hardware production with build and verification of test rigs in CT
- Assist Quality Assurance with maintaining and configuring inspection equipment for engineering development staff
- Write test procedures for Quality Assurance and/or other departments
- Assist in development and maintenance of Inspection/Maintenance programs Operator's Manual as needed
- Assist hardware engineers with inspection equipment integrations
- Work with team to develop prototypes for program equipment and in support of business development efforts
- Assist program implementation by providing onsite field support.
- Support IM field issues as tracked by the Sustaining Engineering position
- Assist Q/A department with setup and configuration of test equipment
Requirements
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electronic circuits at component level, including reading schematics and using testing tools such as Oscilloscope, DMMs, Function Generators
- Proficient in MS Products such as Windows, Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
- Proficient in Altium Designer
- Proficient in different flavors of C-family programming languages and GIT & GitHub
- Ability to effectively analyze, prioritize and resolve hardware engineering problems.
- Ability to adhere to committed delivery schedules.
- Ability to produce quality products.
- Ability to follow guidelines, policies and direction from leadership.
- Desire to collaborate with colleagues and customers to solve problems and provide solutions.

Qualifications
- Experience and/or education in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- Desire to contribute in a dynamic and growing software design/development environment
- Ability to travel to support field issues
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.
