Key Qualifications
- We are looking for expertise using Cadence Allegro for multi-layer board layout.
- Detailed knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and design rules.
- Symbol and footprint generation based on datasheet.
- We are looking for an understanding of circuit theory.
- We are looking for an understanding of power delivery networks (PDN).
- Experience with PCB Layout CAD tools.
- The ability to plan large PCB designs and estimate efforts.
- Coordination and collaboration with team members on complex, sophisticated projects.
- Spreadsheet and presentation skills are a plus.
Description
In this role, you will design, floorplan, and complete PCB designs. This includes early assessment of effort, initial placements, routing, and final rule verification. Designs are released for manufacturing and require the support of DFM and component inquiries. You will be able to navigate CAD tasks using scripts, automation, and design management. You will also be responsible for collaborating with fab vendors to access manufacturing feasibility for challenging board stack ups. You will have a close working relationship with people from unique backgrounds and skills. An emphasis is on designing power delivery input and output networks around power converters in addition to high speed signaling.
Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
