With a wide variety of hours of operations, working as part of our Aquatics team allows for a flexible schedule and consistent work! Join our experienced, professional, aquatics team and help keep our community safe!
You've never been a swim instructor before? That's okay! The Y provides training! You will have the opportunity to shadow until you feel comfortable and partner with a seasoned swim instructor to learn best practice before leading lessons independently. We follow Y USA Swim Curriculum, so the information is provided. If you enjoy swimming and want to share that passion with others, apply today!

On a regular day you will...
- Explain and enforce safety regulations and rules
- Monitor for any safety hazards, and assist in activities
- Assess the swimming capabilities of everyone in the aquatics area and ensure individuals are not allowed in areas that place them at undue risk
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Current certifications in Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Pro CPR, First Aid and Oxygen, or willing to obtain
- Availability 1-2 days per week. Classes take place in the morning, after-school, and weekends
