Summary

Guaranteed is seeking a Director of Strategy with deep industry knowledge to solve complex business problems in a team-based environment. The Director of Strategy is responsible for identifying, validating, and implementing strategic initiatives, programs, and acquisitions. As Director of Strategy at Guaranteed you will craft and establish key playbooks and replicable models to use as the organization scales across verticals. This role will own merger and acquisitions at Guaranteed by discovering strategic hospice acquisition targets and developing relationships critical to closing these deals.

Job Responsibilities

• Vet and implement strategic plans by leveraging financial and operational perspectives across the organization

• Architect operating models and processes that enable growth, optimize capital, and maximize operational efficiency

• Research and provide in-depth market, competitor, & customer insight to inform business decisions and drive growth

• Identify and oversee Guaranteed’s acquisitions of hospices across the US, including travel to scope and meet prospective acquisition targets

• Lead execution of new initiatives/programs from an operating standpoint - this is not a position for strategy only

• Distill and present critical information in a digestible manner to all team members, no matter the level, team, or function

• Partner with the Founder & CEO to develop cross-functional strategies and drive adoption and buy-in across the team

Skills and Toolset You’ll Need to Bring

• Deep knowledge in modeling, financial forecasting, and scenario analysis

• Understanding of the M&A process, including due diligence

• Previously scaled and expanded products and services into new markets

• Ability to communicate focused information effectively for decision making across the organization

• Curious, analytical, and confident, with a natural drive to exceed immediate project requirements and overcome obstacles

• A genuine passion for the healthcare industry

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tableau or Looker to create compelling decks and visual charts

• Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA)

• Conversational in Spanish, Hebrew, Mandarin, or a general sense of cultural awareness (i.e., ability to say phrases in various language/dialect)

• Worked in a digital health or payer company

• Background in Medicare and/or Medicare Advantage

• Joint venture experience with hospital systems and/or payers

• Familiarity with hospice and/or similar businesses

Relevant Experience

• Working in startup environment as a manager of strategic initiatives, corporate strategy, or special programs

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university

• 4+ years of professional experience in a healthcare or consulting setting, including 2 years with healthcare focus

• Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility

• Competent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients you serve

• Previous experience going 0 to 1

New York City - Full Time

Salary Range $120,000 - $150,000
