About Eight Sleep

Eight Sleep is the first sleep fitness company. 1 in 3 people are sleep deprived, and the CDC calls insufficient sleep a public health epidemic. Our mission is to fix this and fuel human potential through optimal sleep.

In 2019, we launched our temperature-controlled smart bed, The Pod. We now power the sleep of over 60,000 people every night, including athletes like 2021 Crossfit Champion Justin Medeiros and Olympic gold medalist Red Gerard. We were given GQ’s Fitness Award and Men’s Health’s Sleep Award and recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies.

We raised $90M last year from leading Silicon Valley investors, and are working on exciting new products that go beyond the temperature control of the bed.

How you’ll contribute:

• Build and lead the teams that manufacture and ship a diverse suite of HW Products (everything from complex electro-mechanical systems to sensor solutions to high-touch soft goods).

• Define manufacturing requirements, timelines, and activities with team leads and stakeholders.

• Prioritize customer experience, quality, reliability, and time to market to execute from Concept to Mass Production to Fulfillment.

• Own and improve manufacturing systems including BOM management and costing

• Work with engineering, suppliers, finance, operations, and logistics partners to transition products into production and deliver products to customers rapidly at scale.

What you need to succeed:

• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing principles and procedures of high-volume, high-cost products.

• 3-5 years of experience managing Contract Manufacturing partners

• 3-5 years of experience managing overseas teams/vendors and driving results through asynchronous communication

• Passion and familiarity with LEAN processes and growing capabilities of teams and suppliers.

• Strong leadership skills:

  • A data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving
