Position Summary
The Continuing Health Education Coordinator position is intended for a highly motivated coordinator; capable of multi-tasking and working with multiple departments to obtain program specific documentation and rotation schedules for accreditation. This position involves heavy data entry and extreme attention to detail for "audit ready" files/documents at all times. Required data entry will include entering more than 100 schedules and resident demographic information annually which is necessary for Medicare reimbursement and CHGME grant award. This will include working with multiple departments to obtain monthly schedule changes and entering them into the residency management software program, New Innovations. The coordinator will be expected to be or become in the first 6-months of employment, a New Innovations Super User to run error reports and understand how to fix all errors, in addition to having or obtaining an expertise in all functions of the program. The Continuing Health Education Coordinator will provide accreditation support to assigned affiliated residency programs and work closely with Program Directors to manage a large cohort of resident needs. The Continuing Health Education Coordinator will manage specialty specific medical education committee meetings as deemed necessary by Residency Program Directors. The Continuing Health Education Coordinator effectively communicates with co-workers, planners, coordinators, and physicians.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Proficient in heavy and detailed data entry necessary for government reimbursement reports and grant applications.
- Provide support to the General Pediatrics Residency and Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship Director/Chief Residents
- In collaboration with Graduate Medical Education Lead, assist with management of all ACGME activity
- Able to independently use a computer and/or automation resources in an efficient and timely manner as relevant to their practice area and ensures accurate billing.
- Proficient in the use of New Innovations, SurveyMonkey and Zoom.
- Complies with the laws governing ACGME.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range: $27.00/hr - $39.00/hr
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- 3 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant.
- Experience with data entry and/or scheduling preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in business OR organizational development preferred.
