Healthcare Office Manager

Job Summary: The Healthcare Office Manager will be responsible for the management and development of office operations which support the delivery of home-based patient care. This position is in-person, located in our modern Encinitas offices, close to the 5 Freeway. This position reports directly to the Medical Director of GMI/EHA and is an employee of Connect the Docs Medical Management, LLC.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Office Manager is responsible for the management and development of office operations which support the delivery of home-based patient care.

* Collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure optimal staffing, training and efficiency to support best practices in home-based medical care.

* Provide staff management and deployment

* Manage Staffing/Recruiting

* Oversee scheduling of patients

* Optimize geo-zoning for physician’s daily schedule to optimize driving time

* Coordinate referrals and authorizations

* Administer established HR/Office Policies

* Supply management

* Manage the datasets of all patients in medical practices

* Oversee billing/AR Analysis

* Ensure complete and accurate credentialing of all providers

* Maintain strong working relationships with external referral sources and internal staff including physicians, Outpatient Clinics and others in the healthcare community

* Implement and evaluates changes to continuously optimize administrative processes

* Other duties as necessary to achieve company objectives

Education/Experience:

* Bachelor’s Degree - or equivalent job experience is preferred

* 5+ years of demonstrated experience in healthcare management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Working knowledge of Epic Electronic Health Record preferred.

* Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, pay close attention to details and meet deadlines

* Excellent organizational and communication skills

* Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, physicians and other professionals both orally and in writing

* Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills when making decisions

* Must exhibit strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

* Working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred

* Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with external referral sources, including social workers, discharge planners, case managers, Home Health, Hospices, other healthcare professionals, families and patients

* Case management, quality and/or clinical documentation knowledge is preferred.

* Understanding of quality improvement, performance improvement, change management and patient safety knowledge preferred
