Healthcare Support Specialist

GetixHealth, a leading healthcare revenue cycle management company, and its Eligibility Team is looking for an administrative pro for its Phoenix-based Out of State Medicaid office.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process written correspondences including but not limited to letters, memos, and daily reports.
  • Answer incoming calls from Clients, Agencies, and Client's customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manner.
  • Process all incoming correspondence according to client guidelines and pertinent legislation.
  • Provide prompt resolution to customer inquiries by providing appropriate and accurate information.
  • Communicate with clients to verify debtor account information.
  • Communicate with debtors, sending correspondence in response to various requests.
  • Prepare reports using Microsoft programs to log daily activity.
  • Maintain diplomacy and tact when dealing with upset or escalated calls.
  • Perform data entry on Excel spreadsheets.
  • Update information in various record keeping systems.
  • Collect all outgoing mail from different designated drop off locations in different departments, meter, and pack for postal pickup.
  • Log, receive, and sign for deliveries of incoming packages via Airborne, Federal Express (Fed Ex), and United Parcels Service (UPS), etc.
  • Distribute all received packages and correspondences daily.
  • Maintain and perform facsimile and copying needs of department(s).
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in projects, duties, and other administrative tasks assigned by management.
  • Follow up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of functional area and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience desired.
  • Previous clerical experience preferred.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe helpful.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and respond to rapidly changing priorities in a multi-tasked environment.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.

Work Environment

  • Office environment.
