Immediate Supervisor: Foreman

Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of qualified painter/coater
• Provide labor support to painter/coater
  • Independently mix paint

  • Equipment setup
• Knowledgeable in equipment operations
• Assist in cleaning work areas and equipment
• Work to gain full understanding of interior and exterior application procedures
• Promote and exhibit safe work practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of field experience in support of industrial painting crew
• Must possess eagerness and willingness to learn, and receive instruction/direction from qualified painter/coater
• Must maintain high standard of safety, integrity and professionalism
• Ability to communicate and comprehend effectively
• Must meet all physical requirements
• Must successfully pass background, drug/alcohol testing

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 49lbs
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 50feet
• Ability to push, pull, turn, hold, grab: objects, materials, controls, and tools
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways, work from man lifts
• Ability to work out on an open structure / platform using the appropriate fall protection requirements
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glass/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and leather steel toe work boots
