External candidates with at least 1 year of experience are eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $10,000 (prorated for part time roles). The bonus will be paid out as a $5,000 gross pay adjustment in the first pay check following the completion of a successful 90-day orientation; the second installment of $5,000 will be paid upon completion of one year (2,080 hours/prorated for part time) of service in the department hired into. Amounts reflect gross pay, prior to applicable tax withholdings and deductions required by law.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides advanced professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's health needs. The Ambulatory RN II provides direct care to patients and families, as well as teaching and preparation for continuing care. Organizational Standards of Patient Care and Nursing Practice guide the delivery of nursing services by this individual. The position demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care.
SHIFT:
This position is 36 hours per week. Able to accommodate 8,9 or10 hour shifts. Willing to work with applicant on ideal schedule. Weekend daytime hours scheduled as needed.
EDUCATION:
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. The University of Vermont Medical Center is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter.
EXPERIENCE:
Greater than one year of experience.
Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certified
Oncology Nurse Certification ( OCN) preferred
