Job description
The Hemodialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patient. Provides patient care under the direct visual supervision of a registered nurse. Sets up and primes equipment (as directed by the supervising nurse) for renal replacement therapies. Initiates renal replacement according to prescribed physician orders. Required education includes a Hemodialysis Technician Program that includes didactic training and a 250-hour externship clinical experience. Preferred certification includes Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT). Local travel is required.
