Position: High School Boys Assistant Basketball Coach

Reports to: Head Coach and Athletic Director

Location: Regis Groff Campus (Co-op between STRIVE Prep: RISE and KIPP: Northeast Denver Leadership Academy). Regis Groff is a 5A Athletic Program located in Northeast Denver.

Compensation Details: Starts at $3,510

Duration of Position: The regular season starts on 11/14 and will end on 2/18. Playoffs will begin the week after 2/18.

Requirements:

  • Experience preferred, demonstrable understanding of the sport seeking to coach.
  • STRIVE Prep or KIPP Colorado employee preferred, but not required
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Registered with CHSAA and all required paperwork complete

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Accept and implement co-curricular philosophy of the school.
  • Follow program norms, policy, and expectations for players and families.
  • Direct assigned lower level teams within the program in accordance with program philosophy.
  • Attend and assist during preseason parent meetings.
  • Follows the rules and regulations of the school and league of participation.
  • Attends mandatory preseason rules meetings.
  • Time sensitive communication with the Athletic Department as needed.
  • Utilize provided development opportunities provided by the Athletic Department.
  • Support with scheduled team sessions.
  • Supervise and be responsible for the inventory associated with your program (i.e. equipment, jerseys, etc.)
  • Maintains appropriate supervision of the program at all times including, but not limited to, locker rooms, practices, events, and bus rides.
  • Assures that the squad reflects proper conduct and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Represent the school in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct.
  • Any ad hoc duties determined by the Head Coach or Athletic Director based on program needs.

Evaluation will be ongoing throughout the season by the Athletic Director.
