Erdman Anthony is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in infrastructure engineering, providing cost-effective solutions for government and private-sector clients. Our specialties include Transportation Engineering, Construction Services, Civil Engineering, Geospatial Services, and Facilities Engineering.
This position reports to a Project Manager. The candidate would be responsible for developing design reports, horizontal and vertical alignments, stormwater, drainage, signs and pavement markings and cost estimates
Responsibilities:
- Performs technical tasks including research, reports, technical highway design, specifications and plan preparation.
- Assist Project Managers with all aspects of project development with the final outcome of developing a PS&E plan set.
- Assists the Project Manager with presentations and meeting with clients
Qualifications:
- Candidates shall possess a BS degree in civil engineering.
- 5-10 years of progressive technical experience, diversified knowledge preferred with a focus on highway design projects in New York.
- New York professional certification required.
- Prior experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA and Locally Administered Federal Aid projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads or OpenRoads required.
- Experience working on NYSDOT projects or knowledge of specifications and standards.
- Experience with Roadway Design and Plan Preparation.
- Ability to manage and take responsibility of technical work content and tasks.
- Proficient with planning, scheduling, cost estimating, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering projects.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including proposal and report writing.
