Home Energy & Repair Audit & Inspection Specialist

The Home Energy & Repair program of the Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) is looking for an Audit & Inspection Specialist.

As an Audit & Inspection Specialist, you visit client homes to identify conditions and factors that may be corrected with the services of our Home Energy & Repair program. When work is completed in a home, you do the follow-up inspection to make sure that all work was completed according to requirements.

This is a full-time, 40 hour a week job that works Mondays through Thursdays from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. The starting pay rate is $18.51 per hour to $23.13 per hour, or higher, depending on your qualifications. In this job you will:

· Interpret manuals, guidebooks and regulations.

· Make basic calculations, such as square footage, percentages and volumes.

· Operate hand-held testing equipment, and conduct home energy-related tests.

· Travel throughout southwestern Wisconsin.

You’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent plus one to three years of prior work experience in the building trades, energy conservation or residential inspection. You’ll need use of an insured vehicle. You’ll need to gain various certifications and training certificates within one year of hire. We help you gain these trainings and certifications.
