Position Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide occupational therapy under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to patients in the home according to a physician’s plan of treatment.

Position Duties:
- Treat patient to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum performance using appropriate treatment, modalities and procedures as outlined within the care plan
- Under the supervision of the occupational therapist, instruct the patient in prescribed therapeutic self-care and creative activities directed toward improving independence, physical abilities, and mental functioning
- Guide patient with established household management routines
- Instruct patient and family in the use of prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices
- Participate in case conferences as assigned and collaborate with other members of the health care team to accomplish patient care goals
- Other duties as assigned
Other Requirements:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to speak and write in English
- Unrestricted driver’s license
- Current automobile insurance according to Company policy
Licensing/Certification/Education/Experience Requirements:
- At least one (1) year of experience as a occupational therapy assistant within a home health setting preferred
- Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
- Current state certified occupational therapy assistant license
- Current CPR certification
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Ability to lift to 40 pounds
- Work requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
