Absolute Home Health and Hospice iis hiring a Full-Time Hospice Chaplain! Absolute is looking for just the right person to provide guidance and support to its hospice patients and families to ensure their spiritual needs are met via the development of a patient and family plan of care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide spiritual counseling to hospice patients and families and assist in evaluating their spiritual needs
• Actively participate in and openly communicate with members in interdisciplinary group meetings
• Facilitate connection to spiritual resources in the community
• Follow agency policies and procedures to operate and furnish services in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Ensure clinical records are updated for each service provided
• Provide bereavement follow-up services as assigned
• Conduct or make arrangements for funeral or memorial service as indicated from family
• Always maintain strict patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in religious studies, or similar applicable subject, is required; Master's Degree is preferred
• Completion of at least 1 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit, is preferred
• Current CPR Certification, is required
• Must have, and be able to maintain, a valid driver's license in good standing and a clean driving record
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work independently, make judgements based on assessments and data available, and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative, and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.
