The hospital is located by a beach resort with a growing population boasting award winning schools. Join this well-established Hospitalist team that provides inpatient care 24/7/365. We do have Intensivists that have 24/7/365 responsibility for the Critical Care Unit.

The Atlantic General Health System is comprised of over 65 employed physicians and APPs practicing in several locations throughout the region. Our market area extends from the Indian River Bay in Southern Delaware to the north, to the northern portion of the Eastern Shore of Virginia to the south. We have practice locations in Selbyville, DE; Ocean View, DE; West Fenwick Island, DE; Ocean City, MD; Berlin, MD; Ocean Pines, MD; and Pocomoke City, MD. The majority of these practices are primary care. Our primary service area is Worcester County, MD (http://www.co.worcester.md.us/).

We are currently seeking a Hospitalist who is trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine to join our dedicated and growing Hospitalist Team. This would be a Full Time or Part Time employed position within Atlantic General Hospital, providing coverage in the hospital setting. The Hospitalists use Ingenious Med software to facilitate their billing and productivity, and the Hospital provides support staffing. We also use Allscripts/Altera Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Competitive salary for the initial 2-year contract period would be based upon MGMA data and is above the median for the mid-Atlantic area. Hospitalists are also eligible for Productivity and Quality bonuses.
• We provide a comprehensive benefits package and have a matching contribution for our 403(b) retirement plan. Physicians also have access to a self-funded 457(b) tax deferred savings plan.
• We provide $3500 annually for CME expenses.
• We provide up to $1,000 annually in reimbursement for medical license fees, board certification fees, etc…
• The hospital provides malpractice insurance.
• Hospitalists are paid at a rate of time and a half for any major holiday worked (New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).
