Area Four is a fast-casual wood-fired pizza joint with a clean industrial look located in the heart of Cambridge’s bustling Kendall Square. We have a wide offering of gourmet pizzas, craft beer, locally roasted coffee, and homemade pastries. As we look toward a busy year, we will be needing to bring on some hosts to keep up with the pace. If you are a team player who enjoys a fast-paced work environment with an unbridled commitment to hospitality, then we would love to hear from you! Ideal candidates would be passionate about food and beverage, detail-oriented, driven, and professional.

We are currently only looking at candidates with weekday lunchtime availability (generally 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM). Full-time availability is not necessary but appreciated.

Responsibilities:

• As the first person most will see when they come to the restaurant, you are responsible for providing a warm, friendly, inviting welcome.
• Answer the phone and answer any questions/take any Pick-Up orders
• Seat any guests that would like to sit in the dining room or on the patio.
• Control of reservations to ensure we can seat everyone for service.
• Maintain a waitlist when we're busy to keep new tables in order both inside and outside.
• Be able to reorganize the table plan (on the fly, sometimes) to accommodate for changes in reservations
• Inform servers of any new guests in their section.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
