The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Host / Hostess. With stunning views overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, the Hotel Zamora provides a luxurious retreat for its guests. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space. The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company. The Host / Hostess plays a major role in the hotel’s Food & Beverage experience. The Spirit to Serve is a key element in a positive customer experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests at the door. The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of any specials
  • Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations
  • Runs the floor plan board
  • Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables
  • Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
  • Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area
  • Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant
  • Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience
  • Maintains specific side-work and ensures the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Quickly clears and resets tables
  • Maintains restaurant, bar, and restroom space cleanliness restrooms throughout shift
  • Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently
  • Fills to-go orders, if applicable
  • Knows when to escalate situations for management intervention
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs

Required Experience:
  • Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multilingual environment
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates
  • Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel
